UFC Boston draws a total of 382,700 viewers on 3e

Conor McGregor

After news emerged early this week that Conor McGregor’s fight with Dennis Siver broke the record for UFC fights on Fox Sports in America there was more good news today as the Irish viewing figures show that UFC Fight Night Boston was an overwhelming success.

A 3e source told SevereMMA today that UFC Fight Night Boston, which had Conor McGregor fighting Dennis Siver in the main event and also featured his teammates Cathal Pendred and Paddy Holohan as well as Northern Ireland’s Norman Parke, averaged 125,000 viewers on 3e, commanding  a 10% share.

Shown on delay the Tuesday after its live Sunday broadcast, the event, altogether on the night, reached a total of 382,700 people. That number works out at 9.3% of the available viewing population.

Considering 3e normally average around 60,000 and a 5% share in that slot, and the fight was shown live on BT Sport two days earlier, this is another case to show just how much of a draw McGregor and MMA in general has become in Ireland.

Next up McGregor fights Jose Aldo for the UFC featherweight title in what’s sure to be another huge event.
