Bellator 69 draws season high viewing numbers on MTV2

This past weekend’s Bellator 69 event drew the best ratings of the organization’s current sixth season, and it also topped the 200,000 viewer mark for the first time in 10 events stretching back to late 2011.

Overall, the May 18 broadcast averaged 209,000 MTV2 viewers.

In the night’s main event, Maiquel Falcao topped rival Andreas Spang via unanimous decision to win the season-six middleweight tournament. Additionally, Karl Amoussou narrowly edged David Rickels via split decision to advance to the final of a welterweight tourney that now concludes during the upcoming “Summer Series” of events. In another featured bout, Jessica Aguilar edged fellow top female fighter Megumi Fujii via close unanimous decision.

Bellator’s previous nine season-six shows averaged 153,000 viewers.
