Joe McColgan vs Richard Williams set for Cage Warriors 83

Cage Warriors announced this afternoon that Ireland’s Joe McColgan will take on Wales’ Richard Williams at Cage Warriors 83 in Newport, Wales on 6th May 2017.

McColgan (2-1) caught fans attention after an impressive rear naked choke finish of Tommy Hogan and a unanimous decision victory over Peter Queally at BAMMA 26 followed a successful amateur career.

“The SBG Hunter” lost his first professional bout via split decision to the experienced Arnold Quero (14-5) in his last outing at Cage Warriors 81 in Dublin, Ireland last month.

Williams (4-0) has finished all of his opponents in the first round including a 59 second TKO of Gracjan Bak in his last bout at Cage Warriors Academy in Wales back in March 2017.
