Multiple Irish Fighters announced for Cage Warriors Trilogy Cards

After a couple of months of uncertainty surrounding Irish MMA, a raft of Cage Warriors’ Gaels returns this September. Graham Boylan made the announcement of three back to back shows up in their return to action. News which was music to fighters and MMA fans’ ears.

Today Cage Warriors announced that a host of Irish fighters had been officially matched up to compete on the bumper event. Rising Irish MMA prospects Ian Garry (3-0) steps in to face off against George McManus (3-1). The bout will be contested at welterweight.

The Dublin man won’t be the only competitor to represent the Tri-colour in September as it was also announced that Cork’s John Mitchell (1-0) will compete. He steps in against Alan Brykalski (1-2) from Poland in a lightweight encounter. In addition to that, a bantamweight bout between Cork man Jack Maguire (0-1) and Belfast’s Ciaran Mulholland will go down on Thursday September 24. Both fighters will be looking to pick up their first professional win.

‘The Trilogy’ is set to take place in an empty BEC Arena in Manchester on September 24, 25 & 26.Morgan Charrieré (15-7) vs. Max Coga (22-6) for the featherweight crown was announced last week. Today news broke than Mason Jones is to step up and fight Joe Proctor for the welterweight title. Jones, the current lightweight champion will look to follow in the footsteps of Conor McGregor in becoming a two weight world champion.
