Peter Queally and Patricky Pitbull set to Fight for Lightweight Title at Bellator 270

Speaking on Ariel Helwani’s MMA Hour Bellator’s president Scott Coker announced that Patrico Pitbull is set to vacate his lightweight title.

Coker also went on to say that the upcoming fight between Peter Queally and Patricky Pittbull at Bellator 270 in Dublin will now be for the vacant lightweight title.

Queally, who trains out of SBGHQ, was set to rematch Patricky after the two collided previously at Bellator 258. “The Showstopper” won that bloody contest by opening up a massive cut on his Brazilian rival, that forced the doctors to step in and call a halt to the action at the end of the second round.

The lightweights were set to rematch in the co-main event at Bellator 270, an event that takes place in the 3Arena in Dublin on November 5, in a fight which fans were already eager to between two guy’s who do not like each other. The fact that they are now fighting for gold, and in the main event, will only add to that excitement. It will be the first time Bellator have put on a title fight in Ireland and this will be a fight not to be missed.
