Shauna Bannon vs. Minna Grusander set for Invicta FC 52

Shauna Bannon (4-0) will make her Invicta FC return on Wednesday 15th March. The Holohan Martial Arts strawweight will take on former Invicta FC Atomweight title challenger Minna Grusander (6-4) at Invicta 52 in Denver, Colorado. Invicta FC confirmed the matchup with SevereMMA.com

Bannon burst onto the professional scene in 2022. The Dubliner picked up four wins, two by way of finish and two decision victories to maintain her perfect professional record. “Mama B” made her Invicta FC debut last September. The two-weight Cage Legacy champion impressed in her victory over Nadia Vera, where she picked up a Unanimous Decision win. Bannon will set foot inside the Invicta FC cage for the second time on March 15 to take on Finland-based Minna Grusander at Invicta FC 52.

When Grusander squares off with Bannon, it will be her first contest since September 2020, when she dropped a decision to Magdaléna Šormová at Octagon 16. Grusander will return to Invicta FC after previously taking on Jinh Yu Frey twice for the Atomweight title. Grusander came out of that double header with Frey on the wrong side of the judges scorecards. She will look to kick start her career with a move up in weight class to take on Bannon in just a few weeks time.

On the same night, Bannon’s compatriot Danni McCormack is set to challenge Valesco Machado for her Strawweight title, which will serve as the cards main event. Invicta FC will take place on March 15 at Invicta FC 52 in Denver, Colorado. The event will be broadcast live on the Invicta FC Youtube channel, AXSTV, Fightnet and on Facebook.
