Eoin Sheridan PFL

Irish welterweight Eoin Sheridan has been pencilled in for the upcoming PFL Europe event that will take place next month in Belfast.

Sheridan (2-0) is set to face Manchester Top Team prospect Malichi Edwards (4-1) on the undercard at the SSE Arena on May 10th.

“The Sheriff” made a successful debut inside the PFL smartcage in his last outing in Lyon, France in December, as he outpointed hometown favourite Brice Belghazi over three rounds. Prior to that, the Irishman picked up a TKO victory over Joey Dakin at Golden Ticket Fight Promotions 23 on his professional debut back in September of 2023.

26-year-old Edwards comes in for his PFL debut having previously fought in promotions such as FCC and APFC. “Di General” has picked up three stoppage wins during his short professional career to date.

“It’s a high-level match-up”, said Sheridan while speaking exclusively to Severe MMA. “There’s not much between us and it’s definitely going to be an entertaining scrap. I can’t wait to get back in there and take the next step in my career”.

PFL Europe 1 takes place on May 10th at Belfast’s SSE Arena and is set to be headlined by Paul “Big News” Hughes, as he faces the dangerous Brazilian Bruno Miranda. With the venue likely to be packed to capacity, Sheridan is excited by the prospect of performing in front of the Irish fans.

“This is what I’m doing it for, this is what dreams are made of”, he said. “I can’t wait to perform in front of the home crowd”.
