Joseph Duffy set to face Vagner Rocha at UFC 185

Following Conor McGregor’s fantastic win over Dennis Siver in Boston last night it was today announced that Joseph Duffy, the last man to beat McGregor, will make his UFC debut on Saturday, March 14th at UFC 185 in Dallas against veteran Vagner Rocha.

Donegal native Duffy has a 12-1 MMA record achieved over two stints in the cage. He started his career by going 10-1 before transitioning to professional boxing where he amassed a 7-0 record. But in 2014 Duffy returned to MMA and won two Cage Warriors fights in impressive fashion before getting the UFC nod.

His first opponent in the Octagon with be thirty-two year old Brazilian Vagner Rocha. Having made his UFC debut in 2011, Rocha dropped out of the UFC a year later before going on a four-fight winning streak to earn back his spot. In his comeback fight Rocha lost to prospect Jake Matthews in November last and will be looking to bounce back here.

UFC 185 goes down on March 14th at American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas and will be headlined by the lightweight title fight between Anthony Pettis and Rafael Dos Anjos. Check out the other announced fighs below.
